At M53 Ford, we are proud to support the local community, and have an established relationship with Claire House Children’s Hospice. We were therefore delighted to provide the charity with a new Ford Edge to help them in their day to day operations.
The Edge, a practical SUV with generous interior space and a capacious boot, will be used to assist the events and fundraising team with their efforts. M53 Ford Director Carol McPhail handed over the keys to Josh Worrall, Partnership Manager at Clair House in June.
She said: “We wanted to recognise the tireless commitment that the team at Claire House shows to helping seriously and terminally ill children experience life to the full. Presenting the Edge is our way of offering practical support. We hope it’ll help the staff in their efforts to raise vital funds and promote awareness of the charity.”
The new Ford Edge is the ideal vehicle for an events team, being able to seat five adults in comfort and transport some 600 litres of luggage. The boot expands to 1,800 litres with the rear seats folded, meaning large or long items can be accommodated with ease when necessary. With a hands-free tailgate too, loading and unloading the vehicle is simple.
The Intelligent All-Wheel Drive system enables the Claire House team to get out and about even in challenging conditions, and provides stability on varying terrain – an essential for outdoor events and year-round activity.
Travelling further afield is convenient too thanks to the Ford SYNC 3 multimedia system, which enables the charity’s staff to make calls, listen to music and keep up to date with traffic information on the go.
